What is included in the Day-Trip Compact package? +
The Day-Trip Compact package includes the vehicle for one day, a printed city map pack of Kota Kinabalu and surrounding areas, a route suggestion sheet with recommended stops for first-time visitors, and a quick-reference card explaining road conventions in Malaysia. Fuel and applicable road charges are the responsibility of the driver.
Can I choose where to pick up the vehicle? +
For the Mid-Stay Sedan package, you can specify a pickup point within the Klang Valley. For other packages, pickup is arranged from our Kota Kinabalu location at 47 Jalan Kampung Air. Contact us in advance if you have a particular handover preference.
What happens during the mid-trip review on the two-week package? +
Around the midpoint of your rental, a member of our team will arrange a brief vehicle check at a convenient location. This covers tyre condition, fluid levels, and any issues you may have noticed. It also gives us a chance to update your mileage log and address any questions about your remaining itinerary.
Do I need an international driving permit to rent in Malaysia? +
Yes. Foreign visitors renting a vehicle in Malaysia are generally required to hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their home country licence. Please carry both documents throughout your rental period. We recommend verifying requirements with your home country's motoring authority prior to travel.
How is pricing calculated and what does it cover? +
Pricing covers the vehicle, all listed documentation and route materials, and any mid-trip services included in your package. Fuel, tolls, parking, and any fines incurred during the rental period are not included. Pricing is stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and confirmed at the time of booking.
How far in advance should I make a booking enquiry? +
We suggest reaching out at least five to seven days before your planned travel date, particularly for the mid-stay and two-week packages which require route planning preparation. For day-trip bookings, two to three days' notice is usually sufficient, though availability varies during busy travel periods.
